Meet Dan Chase…

After graduating high school in 1977, I went to work as a cabinetmaker for an architectural woodworking firm until 1985. It was during this time, along with my brother Andrew, that the idea was born to start a rental company! I knew I wanted to own & operate my own business. In 1979 with help from my older sail maker brother, We stitched together the first tent of what would eventually become a full service tent & party rental company that Chase canopy is today. I have lived in Mattapoisett my whole life.

All About Andy…

I started Chase Canopy with my brother, Dan, in 1979. I’ve been in this industry for more than 35 years! I went to work as a cabinetmaker for an architectural woodworking firm for about 3 years, and spent about 5 years working in boat yards in the early years while we worked hard to build up the company. I spent fifteen summers on Nantucket Island, and have been involved with many corporate and social/wedding events of all sizes! My work has spanned throughout New England and beyond, and I am fortunes to be able to do what I love, and see some amazing places!

What I do outside of the job- taking in any Boston sports always a good way to relax!

Ben Philbrook

Get to know Ben...

Upon graduation from high school in 2005 Ben joined the Army as a Cavalry Scout. Serving one 14 month deployment to Baghdad, Iraq assisting in combat operations as a Squad Designated Marksman with the 3rd Infantry Divisions 3rd Squadron 7th Cavalry Regiment Ben was honorably discharged in 2009. Joining our team only months later Ben was able to take his discipline and skill and apply it to events!
I view each job as a mission. Coordinating all aspects of the business to keep inventory moving, people employed and clients satisfied is my goal. Understanding that each client and event is unique is what I love. Communication is the key to coordination and the passion for what we do and how we do it is something I will forever instill within our family.

Angela Pandolfi

The Sales Girl...

Hi there! I am local Rhode Island girl, born and raised. I started my hospitality career at Johnson and Wales University in Providence RI, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. From there, I headed as far south as I could, and found myself working as the Event Manager at the South Beach Marriott, Miami Beach FL. (Fun fact- I was fortunate to have met Mr. Marriott there, along with a lot of high profile guests and celebrities.) While in Miami, I was recruited to work at the New York Marriott Downtown on task force. That was an amazing summer in the big apple! After that, I joined the Starwood family, and worked as the Social Catering Sales Manager for the Westin in Waltham, MA! (weddings, weddings, and more weddings) From there, I was recruited to take on the Social Catering Sales Manager position (all the fun stuff) for the New York Metro Market Sales Cluster. I sold multiple properties in NY and NJ, and various brands such as the Westin and W Hotels! After having my gorgeous daughter, Layla-May, and taking half the year off, I then went on to work at one of the most amazing properties in my career portfolio, Maritime Parc in Jersey City, NJ. Overlooking Manhattan, The Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island; this place and all the friends I’ve made will never be forgotten! After about 10 years away from home… It’s no surprise that I was homesick for New England- my family and friends, the beaches, ah yes and coffee milk! So, I decided to come on back to my roots, and was recently the Director of Sales at Hotel Providence. After about a year, I had the amazing opportunity to join the Chase Canopy team as Director of Sales, and here I am!! I am excited for my new journey ahead and still find there is much to learn!

Heather Bichsel

She is like the mom of the office, what would we do without her….

I’m a local to the area and have been for years. My family is truly special to me; my all. I have been married to my husband Michael for about 20 years! We have two gorgeous children, Andrew who is 18 now, and our daughter, Danya, who is 16! Boy time flies. I took those years to be a wife and a mom and raise my kids. After a while I had a small home daycare, and then went on to working at Shining Tides preschool for 7 years - so I was always able to be home when my kids were home.

I thought it was time to head on out to spread my wings, and found Chase Canopy. I’ve been with the company since August 2014. I took on the role as event planner, and just love working with our clients; hearing their vision, and helping to bring it to life! It’s truly the best stuff hearing positive feedback and comments from my guests after seeing their events come to fruition. After so many months of working with them, you get to truly know people, and that’s what does it for me!

What about me….. I love to spend time with my family, reading, being outdoors, going to the beach, and I like to draw and paint.

The Gal who does it all…

I’m a local to Fairhaven, MA! All throughout my younger years, and up until Chase, for about 8 years, I have been working in the word of restaurants. (Fun times, many laughs, stories to tell, and many memories!) I continued my journey in the industry by attending Johnson and Wales University, Providence RI. It was there that I achieved my degree in hospitality. Shortly after, I joined the Chase Canopy team! I am responsible for coordinating all tent and rental needs for events of all types and sizes! Why I do it: - I have always had a love for planning events and being a part of creating memories. From the initial inquiry to the final result, I love being able to bring our client’s vision to life! IT’s rewarding, and I love it!

Hi everyone! I Started with Chase Canopy in June 2015.
I stared my career as an information technology professional and that lasted for about 40 years!
I had decided to retire, and take my life on a new adventure where I could utilize my skills and stay in the game, but a new game!
My on-going work at Chase Canopy has provided a great opportunity to meet many great people both in and outside the company; very less stressful than "corporate America"! Colleagues are great to work with and collectively make a great team as well!

In my free time, I enjoy yard work as it is a great overall health enabler! I also enjoy both skiing and golf very much!
My wife Cheryl and I have resided in S Dartmouth for the past 17 years. We have two great sons along with their two great wives, Ryan and Beth, and Andrew and Ashley. We currently have two wonderful and very special granddaughters, Rylee, 7 and Bailee, 4!
